SBLC Director joins Indonesia in celebrating 78 Years of Independence

Reflecting the enduring friendship and cooperation between Indonesia and the Philippines, SBLC’s Academic Director, Dr. Michael John V. Flores joined the festivities as an honored guest in the commemorative event of the Republic of Indonesia’s 78th year of independence at Mayuree Ballroom, Dusit Thani Hotel Makati, in Metro Manila. 

Dr. Flores received a special invitation from the honorable Ambassador Agus Widjojo and Mme. Ranny Widjojo in a grand and joyous celebration of the country’s independence where esteemed guests and dignitaries gathered to honor Indonesia’s rich history and vibrant culture.

The 78th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence in Manila was a testament to the deep-rooted ties that bind the two nations. It served as a poignant reminder of the importance of preserving historical connections while simultaneously forging new partnerships in pursuit of a brighter and more interconnected future. The event celebrated the shared values, aspirations, and contributions of Indonesia, the Philippines, and the entire region.
