The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) awarded a trophy and certificate of recognition to SBLC in the ICONS 2025 Awards on December 10, 2025.

CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis personally handed the award to SBLC President Dr. Roland D. Villegas during the ceremony held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

This recognition highlights SBLC’s placement in the 2025 WURI as the 321st most innovative school in the world and 32nd in the Culture/Values category, reflecting the college’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and transformative education.

A total of 173 Higher Education Institutions were recognized by CHED this year. These select schools were among the institutions recognized by major international ranking systems.

Through the efforts of its diverse community, SBLC continues to advance SDG 4: Quality Education by innovating its programs for the benefit of all SBLCians.
