SBLC joins SEAMEO school’s network for Tertiary Education and Graduate Studies
Formalized on February 6, 2023, St. Bernadette of Lourdes College (SBLC) has been officially acknowledged as a member of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) School’s Network for Tertiary Education and Graduate Studies, marking a new chapter in SBLC’s commitment to educational excellence, and regional and international cooperation.
SEAMEO, founded in 1965, is a regional intergovernmental organization comprising the governments of Southeast Asian nations. Its mission is to foster cooperation in the fields of education, science, and culture to enhance human capacities and unlock the fullest potential of students and educators alike. SEAMEO’s overarching goal is to improve the quality and equity of education, promote preventive health education, preserve culture and tradition, harness information and communication technology, advance language education, combat poverty, and address issues related to agriculture and natural resources.
As a SEAMEO School’s Network Member for Tertiary Education and Graduate Studies, SBLC is poised to engage in collaborative initiatives that promote regional understanding, cooperation, and unity of purpose among member countries.
