SBLC JOINS NAASCU

SBLC has officially joined the National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU), a major collegiate sports organization in the Philippines.

On September 1, NAASCU Commissioner and Head of Operations Mr. Cris Bautista paid a courtesy visit to SBLC President Dr. Roland Villegas, Vice President for Education Dr. Michael John V. Flores, and Student Life and Formation Director Ms. Jobelle Resuello to welcome SBLC as the newest member of the association.

Through its membership in NAASCU, SBLC students will have more opportunities to take part in collegiate sports and represent the College in different competitions and activities.

Joining NAASCU also gives students opportunities to develop important skills such as teamwork, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship. Through sports, students can learn how to work with others, handle challenges, and build confidence both on and off the court.

Ranked 1001–1500 globally in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2026, SBLC continues to support student learning beyond the classroom.

In line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), SBLC recognizes sports as an important part of student development. Through sports and other activities, students are given opportunities to build new skills, stay active, support their well-being, and learn through experience.

With its membership in NAASCU, SBLC looks forward to creating more opportunities for students to grow, compete, and represent the College through sports.
